Nigerian superstar, Dapo Oyebanjo aka Dbanj, on Saturday sent an Easter greeting to his fans, friends and their families.
Dbanj, who has not spoken out publicly since his reported split with Michael Collins aka Don Jazzy, with whom he co-founded Mo’Hits record label, also thanked his followers for standing by him.
In a message on his Twitter account – @iamdbanj -, the artiste wrote, “To my loyal fans, friends and families. thanks for your patience love and understanding all through these period (sic). I wish you all happy Easter.”
He did not mention his rift with Don Jazzy.
His rift with Don Jazzy followed the signing of an agreement with Kanye West of G.O.O.D Music. As if to confirm their rift, Don Jazzy did not appear in DBanj’s ‘Oliver Twist’ video, which was unlike previous recordings.
A check through Dbanj’s Twitter accounts shows that Don Jazzy is not listed among his friends.
Don Jazzy had in a tweet on March 17, 2012 confirmed their split as “the end of a long era and the beginning of a new one.”
