Top singer and actress, Bose Olubo a.k.a. Omo Oko, has adopted 27 children.
Omo Oko, as she is popularly called, said she is presently taking care of the kids with the help of some teachers.
According to her, the decision to adopt the kids through her non government organisation, Amazon Kiddies Organisation, is based on the fact there are more abandoned kids than the motherless, saying that some parents abandon their children because of the pervasive poverty in the country.
“Since they cannot take care of them, they have no choice than to abandon them.”
She said that her outfit organises a lecture for the kids every Saturday during which about 10 teachers take care of their needs at intervals.
Apart from the programme for the abandoned kids, Bose has been running a kiddies programme on MITV and GTV, while she has been an artiste for about two decades. She has released such works as Omo Oko, Mopelola, Omo Alhaja, Omo Anifowoshe and Orogun Omo.
As a singer she has also released albums, My Root, Because of you and Boseje, featuring Wasiu Alabi Pasuma
