Today in Ogun state capital, Abeokuta, a galaxy of stars will gather to celebrate the Best of Nollywoods Awards organised by the Best of Nollywood Magazine.
In a press brief that held this week, the publisher of BON magazine, Seun Oloketuyi, unveiled sponsors for this year’s event while explaining why the event had to be moved away from Lagos where it’s held since inception. “A 5km red carpet donated by Noble carpets will serve as runway for fashion parade by the stars while popular artistes like DJ Zeez, Naeto C, Kennis Music acts and others will thrill the crowd”, said Seun.
According to the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Youths and Sports, “Ogun State Government is ready to support BON to the fullest in terms of security, accommodation, feeding and other logistics” nt and artistes like DJ Zeez Kennies Music, Naeto C and others will be on ground to thrill the audience.
Out of the twenty-two categories (22) in which awards will be given, brands like Sunlight, Annapuna and Lipton have decided to endorse some categories.
The Brand Manager of Sunlight detergent, Mrs Bolanle Odeleye revealed that her organisation would be sponsoring the Clean and Fresh Actress of the year. She said this is because Nollywood has proven itself to be the second best in the world and BON Awards is a good platform to partner with the institution.
Nominees in this category are: Omoni Oboli, Ronke Ojo (Oshodi Oke), Funke Akindele and Mercy Johnson.
