Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Olatomi Soboyejo, has called on parents to discourage their wards from getting addicted to watching movies, contending that the trend has negative effect on kids.

Soboyejo, a mother, said the trend has to be checked to prepare youths for leadership challenge in the future.

The guest lecturer accused many parents of indulging in permitting their children getting addicted to the violence culture, “making the youth of today endangered.”

Her words: “Parents have permitted our violence-addicted culture to re-programme their children through films/movies, music, cartoons and video games making the youth of today to be endangered.”
