Nollywood film director, Cyril Jackson, is at it again. This time, he is set to premiere his latest movie, Bishop’s Cabinet to movie lovers in Lagos this weekend.
Produced by Favour Linda Benson, the movie, which parades Nollywood A-list actors like Olu Jacobs, Ngozi Ezeonu, Monalisa Chinda and Alex Usifo discusses the moral burden of Bishop Obi, who was unable to enforce piety among his children. A succession dispute in his church laced with greed, pride and blackmail enhanced by vendetta, falsehood, intrigues and confession gives the film its character.
The textural strength of Bishop’s Cabinet is in its unpredictability, which is showcased with the varied twists in the plot of the movie as it provides both dramatic and literary entertainment in its execution.
According to the producer of the flick, “Bishop’s Cabinet is designed as a moral compass relevant to societal pressure in Nigeria today without losing sight of the need to provide an entertaining trip into the world of make believe for movie lovers. Our desire is to correct moral ills in the society without losing the entertaining essence that is expected from world class movies,” she said.
