Saskay: Why I can’t date an entertainer
Ex-Big Brother Naija Housemate, Tsakute Jonah, popularly known as Saskay, has shared the reason she can’t date someone in the entertainment industry.
The reality star said she prefers to settle down with someone in the corporate world, adding that people she met on social media also don’t stand a chance.
Her words, “There is just one thing I know: I don’t want someone in the entertainment industry, which is so hard because I am in the entertainment industry. Most people I meet are people in the entertainment industry. Though I am in the entertainment industry, I want a regular 9-to-5 person.”
When asked if regular individuals slide into her direct messages to express romantic interest, she responded, “My DM is the wrong place. I will never respond to any sort of message like that. It’s better when I meet the person one-on-one.”
In addition, Saskay urged young creatives in the entertainment industry to invest in acquiring informal education about the business for speedy growth.
“Every creative has to develop themselves. You need to get an education; it might not necessarily be formal education. I educated myself by watching Instagram videos and checking what the people I look up to are doing. If you want your brand to be scandal-free, you avoid scandals. I am not saying they may not happen, but by the time you have had this informal education, you will also know how to navigate when such things happen.”
