Bobrisky did jail term in prison – FG panel
An investigative panel set up by the Federal Government to probe the allegation that controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky slept outside the prison during his six-month jail term has submitted its report.
According to the report made public on Monday, there was no evidence to back the claim of social media critic, Martins Otse aka VeryDarkMan.
The development was made known by the Executive Director and founder of Prisoners’ Rehabilitation and Welfare Action, Uju Agomoh.
Reading the phase one report of the panel at the Ministry of Interior, Agomoh said the panel “did not find any evidence thus far that suggested that Mr Okuneye slept outside the custodial centre during the period of his imprisonment, which was from 12th April 2024 to the 5th August 2024, which is a six-month correctional sentence with the usual remission applicable”.
Recall that the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on September 30 constituted an investigative panel chaired by Magdalena Ajani, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, on ‘Alleged Corruption & Other Violations Against the Nigerian Correctional Service’.
The panel was constituted to probe the claims of VeryDarkMan against Bobrisky.
