Seun Kuti pays tribute to father, Fela
Nigerian musician, Seun Kuti, has disclosed that he misses his late dad, Fela Anikulapo.
Paying tribute to Fela, Seun, the youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer reflected on the enduring influence Fela has had on his life since his death.
Seun disclosed that every aspect of his music is a testament to the Fels’s influence.
“Every year since you passed to the great beyond, your impact on our lives has continued to grow.
“Every note, phrase, dance, song and album is to show my love for you. I miss you and I play my sax for you. Dad, I live for your legacy and I’m loyal to the mission. Love you big man more than words can express.”
The late legendary Afrobeat singer and activist, Fela Anikulapo Kuti died in 1997.
