We’re not witch-hunting Bobrisky – FG
The Federal Government on Friday denied claims that it is witch-hunting controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky.
The statement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, during a media briefing in Abuja to mark his one year in office.
Recall that in a viral video, a social media critic, Martins Otse known as VeryDarkMan, played an alleged leaked audio of Bobrisky where the crossdresser boasted that he served his six-month jail term outside of a correctional facility after paying some officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
Some Nigerians have, however, claimed that Bobrisky is being targeted by the FG.
Denying the claims, Tunji-Ojo said, “It is not just about Bobrisky.”
The minister also vowed to sanction any officer found guilty in the alleged bribery saga.
“Please, let us be patient for investigations to be done and be rest assured that nobody will be shielded and nobody will be protected,” Tunji-Ojo said on Friday about the saga involving the agency under his ministry.
