Mohbad: Family calls for more witnesses on singer’s death
The family of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad is seeking more witnesses on the death of the singer.
The family, through its legal team, urged anyone with relevant information that will assist in the ongoing investigation into his death to come forward.
The team also lamented that some individuals are sharing sensitive information on the death of the singer on social media.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Monisola Esther, a member of the legal team explained that such information should be made available to the Police instead of the public.
“Given the nature of the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba and the information being released to the public space which ordinarily should have been given to the Police, the Aloba Family’s Legal Team wishes to advise that anyone with useful and relevant information that could aid in the search for and the circumstances leading to the singer’s death should reach out to the Legal Team to facilitate proper legal connectivity.
“Also, the Police can be contacted to ensure the protection of the witnesses and suspects. Additionally, the coroner’s inquest has issued witness summonses for those relevant to its investigation.
“Please, note that Joseph Aloba does not seek to pursue any personal relationships at this point. His interest is focused on finding out the details of what happened to his dear son and the circumstances that led to his untimely demise.
“The Coroner’s Court is the best forum to disclose any information that could assist in the fact-finding mission of the court.”
This comes days after Karimot, Mohbad’s sister-in-law, in a viral video on social media, accused the singer’s widow, Wunmi of having a hand in his death.
Karimot also claimed she had implicating information about Mohbad’s wife.
