‘Leave pageantry for now’ – Phyna advises Chidinma Adetshina
A former Big Brother Naija winner, Josephine Otabor, aka Phyna, has advised the embattled Miss South Africa finalist, Chidimma Adetshina, to stay away from pageantry for the main time.
Phyna was reacting to the inclusion of Adetshina in the Miss Universe Nigeria beauty pageant after a forced withdrawal from the Miss SA pageant.
The reality TV star warned that her participation would truncate the chances of existing Nigerian beauty queens who could be threatened.
In a post she made on her X platform, Phyna wrote, “Just thinking out loud oh. I’m in support of Chidima o, but this one she now wants to rep us like this…. What will now happen to our own typical Nigerian Queens that have been preparing for it too, Omo I for advise her to leave pageant first or for this year… then go next tym.” (sic)
Adetshina, a model of Nigerian and Mozambican heritage, withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 contest over scrutiny of her nationality.
