Deji Adeyanju knocks police for arresting VDM
Lawyer and human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has slammed operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command for arresting social media critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Adeyanju made the announcement on Sunday through his Facebook page.
He claimed that VDM’s arrest was ordered by the Commissioner of Police for Federal Capital Territory (FCT), CP Benneth Igwe.
Adeyanju, in a terse statement, wrote, “Our client, @thatverydarkman has just been arrested by the police on the instruction of CP Igwe for exposing someone who allegedly duped a Nigerian abroad. Instead of the police to arrest the person alleged to have duped someone, they arrested VDM on allegation of defamation.”
Recall that the social media critic has been in the news lately over diverse controversies with bigwigs across the country.
