Adekunle Gold proposes Timi Dakolo’s ‘Great Nation’ as national anthem
Timi Dakolo’s song, ‘Great Nation’ has been placed ahead of the newly adopted national anthem of Nigeria, which was approved on Wednesday by President Bola Tinubu.
Reacting to the development, Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold proposed that the government should have adopted Dakolo’s song instead of reverting to the anthem used before the country’s independence.
The ace singer wondered why those in authority did not consider Timi Dakolo’s ‘Great Nation’ as the country’s new anthem.
On his X handle, he wrote, “No one thought Timi Dakolo’s Great Nation makes a better anthem?”
