Some social media fans of Actress Funke Akindele has knocked her colleague, Toyin Abraham, for celebrating the victory of Kehinde Bankole at the just-concluded 2024 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.

Kehinde Bankole beat other contending nominees to win the Best Lead Actress for her phenomenal role in Adire, while Akindele got nothing for her role in her movie, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’.

Some corners of the social media have insisted that ‘Jenifa’ was cheated, while others insisted that the award organisers were fair with their judgment.

In an online video, Toyin was seen hailing Bankole following her win, declaring her the best actress in Africa. The video captured Kehinde in the centre as Toyin rounded her, singing her praises.

Reacting, some netizens claim the actress was praising Bankole to spite Akindele.
