Shallipopi joins long list of people who ‘stole’ Blackface’s song

Popular singer, Shallipopi has joined the long list of vocalists who have been accused of stealing the song of his colleague, Augustine Obiabo Amedu, popularly known as Blackface.

The former Plantashun Boiz members, in a video he shared on Instagram on Sunday, accused Shallipopi of intellectual property theft.

According to Blackface, Shallipopi sampled his song ‘Enemy Plan’ in his recently released debut album ‘Shakepopi’ without his permission.

Blackface queried if Nigerian artists can’t sing without copying his sound or melody.

He wrote in pidgin, “Una mean say if them no copy my sound or my melody them no go get song to sing? Ok I don make remix for una so make una better abandon this una project.”

Shallipopi is yet to react to the allegation.

Recall that Tuface Idibia was the first singer to be accused of stealing Blackface’s song.
