Family announces date of burial for Actor Jimi Solanke
The family of Veteran Nigerian actor Jimi Solanke, has announced that the late thespian will be buried at a private cemetery on Friday, April 5.
According to the family, the funeral service will take place at the Methodist Church Nigeria in Ipara-Remo, Ogun State.
Recall that NIGERIAFILMS reported that Solanke died on Monday, February 5, 2024, at the age of 81.
The week-long activities commenced with a choral concert at Ibudo Asa, Ipara Remo, on Monday, April 1, 2024, alongside events like a night of tribute at Freedom Park, Lagos, candlelight processions at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, and Ipara-Remo, Ogun State.
On Saturday, April 6, there will be cultural and masquerade displays, among other programmes.
The burial events will end on April 7, 2024, with a thanksgiving service.
