Paul and Peter Okoye, members of defunct music group, PSquare, have on Wednesday, November 17 finally reconciled after years of being in a feud.
The reconciliation took place on Wednesday evening as the twin brothers met and hugged about five years after they broke up and went their separate ways.
The Okoye brothers have been in the public eye since their controversial split in 2016.
The twins were said to have parted ways after a family and business disagreement on the role of Jude Okoye, their older brother and immediate past manager.
In March, Peter now called Mr P had blamed the constant comparison from fans — over who is better between the duo — as part of the reasons they broke up.
The reconciliation comes few days after Paul ‘Rudeboy’ and Peter ‘Mr P’followed each other on Instagram.
“Christmas in November, thanks to uncle Peter,” she wrote, in a terse message that accompanied the video.
Also, two days ago Paul celebrated his twin brother, Peter and his wife Lola Omotayo on their eighth wedding anniversary.
The singer took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, where he celebrated the couple on their anniversary.
“Happy anniversary guys,” he wrote.
The subtle interaction sparked excitement among fans who expressed hope about the possibility of a reunion.
Recall that Nigerian singer and director, Dare Fasasi, popularly known as Baba Dee, had urged the estranged musicians to reconcile as he ended the feud between Tubaba and Blackface – who were members of Plantashun Boiz.
Dare Fasasi made the call during a tribute in honour of his late brother who died of cancer, Sound Sultan.
He told Paul and Peter Okoye to reconcile as a mark of respect to Sound Sultan whom he described as a man of peace who would have loved them to make peace.
Baba Dee stated that Sound Sultan introduced him to Psquare, and made him fall in love with their music.
He further pleaded with the duo on behalf of his late brother, their parents and older brother, to end their longtime quarrel.
Baba Dee had said;
I beg you, I beg you in the name of your father and your mother, and Jude as well. I beg you guys, you all need to come together and bury this because the time is limited.
Thankfully, the duo have heeded to advice and finally squashed their quarrel a day before they turned 40 – Thursday, November 18.
