Alaafin, simply means man of the Palace in the Yoruba language. It is the title of the king of the medieval Oyo empire and present day Oyo town.
Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III is the current Alaafin, or traditional ruler, of the Yoruba town of Oyo and rightful heir to the throne of its historic empire.
He is married to Ayaba Abibat Adeyemi, his senior wife, alongside otht twelve junior wives he’s also married to. They are as follows: Ayaba Rahmat Adedayo Adeyemi, Ayaba Mujidat Adeyemi, Ayaba Rukayat Adeyemi, Ayaba Folashade Adeyemi, Ayaba Badirat Ajoke Adeyemi, Ayaba Memunat Omowunmi Adeyemi,Ayaba Omobolanle Adeyemi, Ayaba Moji Adeyemi, Ayaba Anuoluwapo Adeyemi, and Ayaba Damilola Adeyemi.
Yesterday, it was reported that he had added a new wife Chioma by name to his outrageous lists of wives. It was also reported that the new Alaafin of Oyo latest wife Chioma Nwadike-Stanley was allegedly previously married to an Igbo man. Chioma will be the first-ever young eastern Queen to marry the Yoruba monarch.
However, a new report has emerged the social media alleging that Chioma Nwadike-Stanley has been married to an Igbo man.
Some photos shared online show when Chioma is engaged by the alleged previous husband and another where they were seen all loved up.
According to reports, it is uncertain whether the marriage was dissolved before proceeding to marry her new husband, Alaafin of Oyo.

Oba Adeyemi’s first public appearance with the new wife was at the installation of Real Estate Giant, Chief Tomori Williams as the Aare Onikoyi of Yorubaland during the last weekend, City People reports.
