The First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to save the people.
On Saturday, October 17, she shared a cryptic message on her verified Twitter handle @aishambuhari.
The message which was written in her local Hausa dialect #Achechijamaa translates as #Savethepeople.
The message was accompanied by a video of different images of her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari in meetings and roundtable discussions with Nigeria’s service chiefs.
The video is accompanied by a song begging the Nigerian leader to save the north. The president’s wife also shared the same message on her Facebook page.
This is her first message since Monday, October 12 when she retweeted the president’s announcement of deeper security reforms than the disbandment of the controversial police unit SARS.
The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) was disbanded by Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, on Sunday, October 11, following protests across the country.
