Alfred Rotimi is dead, the talented actor and filmmaker died after a brief battle with undisclosed illness at his Abeokuta, Ogun State residence.

Alfred Rotimi otherwise known as ‘Ilu Venture’, one of the pioneers of the Yoruba movie industry, who has featured in dozens of movies was said to have passed away last night after a brief battle with undisclosed illness at his Abeokuta, Ogun State residence.

There will be a short memorial service today, according to a statement confirming his death by the Abeokuta chapter of TAMPAN. See the statement below;

“It saddens me to announce the untimely death of our beloved colleague Hon. Alfred Rotimi Popoola aka Ilu Venture. After brief sickness yesterday 27th Feb., 2019.
