The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose is in critical health condition as he was allegedly hit by a teargas canister which was shot by security operatives at the Government House in Ekiti State.

The news of the attack was shared on the official twitter handle of the People’s Democratic Party today, on Wednesday, July 11, 2018

The Party’s twitter post further disclosed that the security operatives who were acting on the orders of President Muhammadu Buhari had taken over the Governor’s office in Ekiti State.

Governor Fayose’s Aide, Lere Olayinka posted on his personal twitter handle that the Governor is currently receiving treatment at the Ekiti State Government House clinic.

Meanwhile, the Governor had earlier posted on his twitter handle at the early hours of today that the Governor’s office entrance had been blocked by heavily armed security officers and also that there has been shooting.
