The Nigerian and Mavin records singer Reekado Banks has been arrested by the Nigerian police force. The musician is currently in the Ogba Police Area Command in Lagos state.
The singer was arrested for not honoring an agreement by a client. He was paid a sum of two million naira to perform in a wedding ceremony in Benin City but the singer failed to attend the event.
It was reported that Reekado was hired by the couple through a comedian Uwa Idahosa who latter told the singer and manager to refund the money that was paid as he didn’t perform at the event, but instead Reekado was only willing to payback N800, 000 to the couple, claiming that the rest ( N1,200 000) was incurred as logistics.
Uwa Idahosa, the couple, Reekado’s manager and Reekado Banks were all present at the police station over this issue.
The couple is demanding that the total money paid for Reekado’s services be paid back to them.
