If you have watched the Survivor Series: Fear Factor, The Apprentice, Big Brother, or better still Deal or No Deal, then brace up for action as Director of these popular programmes and more is in town to direct the sixth edition of the Gulder Ultimate Search which begins on television this Saturday.
Johan Naude, a South African and director of these hit programmes and others, including Culture Shock and Lion King is the new Director of Gulder Ultimate Search. He takes over from Louis Rheeder, another South African who has directed the programme since inception in 2004.
Johan, a human movement science graduate from Pretoria University with National Diploma in Film and Video production, has also filmed various music videos.
He is involved in television commercials and documentaries. He is expected to bring his wealth of experience in directing into the widely watched Gulder Ultimate Search sponsored by Gulder.
The 10 brave hearts chosen after a very rigorous screening exercise which involved over 15,000 persons begin their search this Saturday at the very mountainous forest of Omodo in Aagba, Osun State.
This will be broadcast on the following national and cable television networks NTA Network, AIT Network, STV, DBN, Super screen and Africa Magic from July 18 to August.
The 10 chosen ones are: Vivien Okafor, Adaeze Nwogu, Chisom Eluma, Melvin Oduah, Olawale Akanbi, Elvis Abogun, Uche Nwaezeagbu, Chuks Okorji, Deborah Omokhigen and Ejimiagbon Okoh. These brave ones will be searching for the horn of valour hidden somewhere in the forest.
At stake is N7m, an SUV worth about N10m and N500, 000 wardrobe allowance for the man or woman who finds the treasure on August 7th.
The 10 paid a courtesy on the executive governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, last week.
There were also hosted to dinner by the governor who used the occasion to welcome them and the entire crew to Osun State, known as State of the Living Spring. He assured them of the usual hospitality of the Osun people, especially the host community.
