Growing up as a child with mixed parentage can really be hard to handle for children, a situation Mariah Carey knows a lot about as she has recently revealed that she has always suffered low self-esteem and still does even as she wish will be treated like every other normal person .
“I just feel like I am a regular human being and i deserve the same respect as anybody else. I have always had low self-esteem, and people do not recognize that” she said.

Mariah Carey was born in Huntington, New York. Her father, Alfred Roy Carey, was of African American and Afro-Venezuelan descent, whiles her mother, Patricia (née Hickey), is of Irish descent.
