Popular comedian, Teju Oyelakin, better known as Teju Babyface, has said that he would humbly decline if he was offered an opportunity to run for a political office. He says that this is because running for an office would harm his life’s vision.
“The sources for harnessing wealth are changing. Before now you had to be in politics or go into government to make a living but those days are gone. In fact, I make bold to say that we are beginning to enter the era where to run for office will be considered a disadvantage.
If you ask me now for example to come and run for certain offices, I’d kindly decline because you’re going to block my life vision as I’ve seen it.
There’s a certain amount of success and progress I expect to have made at a certain time and I see the prospects. There is a point where you are going to ask certain people who are not in government to come and be governors and they will refuse. They will say how much is your state allocation per month that you want to tie me there,” he told Planet TV.
The Executive Producer and Host of the Teju Babyface Show, is set to officially launch his book “Secrets of the Streets” later this month at MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
