Nigerian International model, Mayowa Nicholas has been announced as the new of face of Calvin Klein underwear. The new campaign was made known by Beth Model Management. Nicholas won the Elite Model Look Nigeria in 2014.
‘MAJOR @mayowanicholas The new face of @calvinklein underwear campaign.’ The 18-year-old who is signed to Elite Model Management became the first Nigerian to featured in a Dolce & Gabbana campaign for thei Fall/Winter 2016 campaign and in 2017 she snagged a lookbook feature for Dolce&Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2017 lookbook presentation.
The fast rising model who recently starred in Lisa Folawiyo’s studio spring 2017 collection lookbook is currently working with designer Michael Kors. At the backstage for Kors’ spring/summer 2017 show, the mix of models represented exactly what the designer had in mind: “I really wanted diversity as far as the look of the girls, and diversity as far as body types,” he said.
“ And in between supernovas from Kendall Jenner to Carolyn Murphy, stood the striking 5’ 11” Mayowa Nicholas, a newcomer who only began modeling two years ago but has already made quite a mark. Since winning an Elite modeling competition in her native Nigeria in 2014, Nicholas has walked for a number of top-tier European fashion houses including Christian Dior, Prada, Miu Miu, Hermès and Loewe. After closing Loewe, Nicholas posted on Instagram: “Dreams do come true”.
