A day has finally been set aside for the premiere of the much anticipated star studded movie by comedian, AY, ’30 Days In Atlanta’. The film won at the recently concluded BON awards, where it emerged ‘Comedy Movie of the Year’.
According to a statement made available to Nigeriafilms.com, the flick would hit cinemas across Nigeria on Friday, October 31, 2014.
To mark the event, some Nigerian celebs have been invited for the premiere, which holds at the Silverbird Cinemas, Victoria Island, Lagos.
AY revealed in the statement that apart from the stars expected to grace the occasion, fans would be invited to meet and greet with the stars and also to see the film that has caused before release. This, he said, was to show appreciation to the fans who have aligned themselves with the AY brand through thick and thin.
‘30 Days In Atlanta’ is an adventurous love story spiced with lots of action and hilarious moments. It paints, in beautiful colours, the hugely popular (and social media trending) Akpos character which was created from The AY Show’s ‘Who Wants To Be A Billionaire’ hilarious skits.
It has already grabbed 11 nominations at the upcoming GIAMA Awards in Houston and was described by AY as “a Hollywood meets Nollywood with a Ghollywood twist featuring AY, RMD, Ramsey Nouah, Mercy Johnson, Desmond Elliot, Vivica Fox, Lynn Whitfield, Karlie Redd, Majid Michel, Juliet Ibrahim, Kesse Jabari, Rachel Oniga, Ada Ameh and a good number of other actors”.
Robert Peters directed the flick.
