The Niger Delta Avengers has carried out another attack on the nation’s oil facilities as they blew up two manifolds handled by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company at Batan community in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The militants also destroyed two other trunk lines owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation including an oil well operated by Chevron Nigeria Limited at the Makaraba village of Gbaramatu Kingdom

The attacks were carried out between 10.35pm and 11.20pm on Monday while the Chevron’s oil well was destroyed about the same time.
A community sources who spoke under anonymity via the telephone said the NPDC manifold was not far from Batan Flow Station operated by the company.

Meanwhile, Mudoch Agbinibo, the spokesperson for the Niger Delta Avengers, who confirmed the attacks said in a statement that , “At 10pm, Niger Delta Avengers blew up Chevron Well 10, close to Otunana flow station.

“Other attacks were carried out at 11.15pm. Niger Delta Avengers blew up the NPDC Manifold, close to Banta and the two PPMC/NNPC crude oil trunk Lines.”
