An HND 2 Civil Engineering student of Kwara State Polytechnic( Kwara Poly), Ahmed Issa Olugbon, is currently on admission in a private hospital in Ilorin metropolis after a policeman attached to a bank(name withheld) shot him in the leg.

Giving an account of the incident that led to his hospitalisation, Olugbon said, “On Wednesday, I went to a bank with my father for transaction. My father was on the queue. Suddenly a security man came to me and asked me what my mission in the bank was? I told him that I came with my dad.

“He told me to go and wait for my father outside the bank. He called a man that I later got to know that he is a police officer but he was not in uniform when that security man called him.

“The policeman asked me what was wrong between me and the security man? I told him that I came here with my dad for transaction and the security man asked me to wait outside for my dad. He later told me that I should wait and see.

“The police did not show me any identity card and was in mufti. So I was going away when the policeman dragged me and slapped me. He dragged me out of the banking hall and shot me in my leg.”
