Osama Akpunonu, the Nigerian comedian and on-air-personality (OAP), has announced the death of Mildred Maurice Wuyep, his wife.

The entertainer took to his Instagram page to disclose that Mildred — who he referred to as “my world” — died on Saturday.

He, however, did not disclose what led to her death.

In one of the posts, he shared a picture of his late wife with a terse post which reads: “goodnight my wife.”

On Monday, the funnyman also shared photos of their wedding and lamented the fact that his wife died about two months before their first wedding anniversary.

“Wedding that never saw any anniversary got married May 15, 2021… She died March 26 2022…God bless your soul my world,” he wrote.

Osama Kickstarted his career as a comedian while at the University of Jos (UNIJOS) where he bagged a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts.

He has since continued to pull the weight of fame in the entertainment industry. He has worked with several top comedians including AY, Basket Mouth, Nedu Wazobia, and Julius Agwu.

The entertainer, who hails from Edo state, is based in Jos where he organises his own comedy show titled ‘Rhythm of Laughter’.
