Popular beautiful movie actress, Yvonne ‘Chinyere’ Okoro, who is currently casting in a new movie in Nigeria yet to hit the screens, has described the country’s ‘Ethnic English’ as hilarious and very difficult to speak.

Known for her flawless and impeccable English Language, Yvonne claims she got so entangled in struggling and battling with speaking the language effortlessly until she got it right, as her role in the film, demands that the Pidgin English will be spoken extensively.

Well-known for her award-winning performances in any role given to her to play, Yvonne stars in this new movie which is been shot in Owerri, Imo State, as a waitress (her first waitress role), where she is playing the task of an armed robber who disguises herself as a waitress to extract valid information from a detective.

Her first produced movie titled ‘Contract’ was well applauded by many movie lovers and grabbed several awards at the last AMVCA (Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards).

Pidgin English also called ‘Broken English’ or ‘Broken’ is a Nigerian fabrication spoken widely across Nigeria and even beyond presently. It makes up elements of the Queen’s English, and is a comical language spoken with spirit, emotion and a lot of gesticulation.
