1. The YouTube clip above is part of a Nigerian movie called Itohan, dedicated to eradicating women trafficking in Nigeria. It included some famous names such as Mr. Balogun and Bukky Wright.
Given the stated noble objectives behind that movie project, it is inconceivable that a real dog-sex act ( rather than a simulated or 'pretended' dog-sex act ) would be involved.
And, since Cossy Orjiakor has consistently maintained that she only took part in a movie involving a simulated dog-sex act, I think the above NFC movie clip actually VINDICATES Cossy Orjiakor.

2. I also think that given the noble objectives behind that movie, Nigerians should be grateful to Cossy Orjiakor for volunteering to act in a very humiliating part of the movie. She was merely doing a difficult job that would help educate Nigerians about the evils of women trafficking. I say congratulations to her because she has nothing to be ashamed of.

3. I will, of course, review my present position if any new facts are revealed in due course.

I think your comment was courageous because it dares to go against the popular view on the issue. While most forumites are focusing on whether the dog sex scene was real or not, you are more concerned about the tackiness of the entire sexual imagery employed in the movie. In this case, your view agrees entirely with mine as expressed in my first comment on this page.

I also found your comment thought-provoking in four specific ways :

1.Did the movie go too far in its liberal use of sexual imagery ? In order words, could the objectives of the movie be achieved without the graphic details of the sex scenes ?

2. In my second comment on the movie, I changed my mind, and supported Cossy Orjiakor, simply because of the objectives the movie was designed to achieve. But Wonu, your comment here raises this issue for me : Will I, therefore, allow my sister, wife, or cousin, to play Cossy's role ? Certainly NO.

3. Is this movie likely to achieve its objective, when a potential woman victim in Nigeria, who watches it, will discover that she can make as much as $5000 from a single sex session of prostitution, as seen in the movie ?
My view is NO. However, I must admit that my view is biased because I have not watched the rest of the movie. I'm sure that probably,towards the middle or end of the movie, some hard-hitting deterence might have been incorporated into the script.

4 Are there other possible, and perhaps less offensive ways, of achieving the objectives of this movie ? For example by television interviews of women who have experienced the evils of women trafficking ?

Anyway, Wonu, we leave the above questions and issues for forumites to ponder, and thanks again for a very courageous and thought-provoking comment.
