In 2011, various news media feasted heavily on the reported misunderstanding brewing between sexy Nollywood actresses, Rita Dominic and Ini Edo. The reported fight, which emanated from Rita Dominic’s tweets when both were canvassing for votes for 2011 AFRIFF awards, became a heavy news story. They (Rita and Ini) were running to become the best actress of the award which was sponsored by Arik Airline. The winner was to get a trip to London in 2012. Rita then reportedly accused Ini Edo of manipulating the voting process when she then tweeted, “ok, I have to announce this o! Ini Edo, who had 200 votes last night has eclipsed the first actress by 200 votes. Jezuxxx.” This tweet by Rita spurned bitter webs between both prolific and sexy actresses and news went round that both were no more in good terms. Just few weeks ago, a fan asked Rita, “when are you going to reconcile with Ini Edo?" The Imo State-born award-winning screen goddess answered, “hmm, I don’t have any problem with Ini that requires we reconcile. Don’t believe everything you read.”Though this is not the first time actresses openly mislead their fans and turn them against the media, but we hope this is an exception. Recall that in few months ago, Ini Edo first denied being pregnant but later admitted to it. Uche Jombo, some days prior to her secret wedding in May 2012, reportedly denied any marriage plans only to get married days later. The list is endless.
