Never mind | 9/7/2012 12:56:09 PMThe Nigerian national anthem is full of prayers for JUSTICE and HONESTY and I remember in the second stanza i.e "Oh God of Creation" we do sing ....."help our YOUTHS the TRUTH to know, in love and HONESTY to grow and living JUST and TRUE........to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign". However, it's really bothersome to know that only few youths and few Nigerians as a whole are of noble character. Perhaps, they aren't living or brought up in Nigeria or they fear God so much that they can't be bothered about what any man can do to them. We have been brainwashed to believe that speaking the TRUTH is a CRIME....we've seen parents encouraging their children to tell lies for fear of the unknown or in order to get what does not rightfully belongs to them, we've seen teachers and elders telling lies and also encouraging children and youths to do so. Some could take another person's life, bear false witness and/or take bribe just to cover up for the truth they know and don't want to reveal.....wake up my fellow youths and Nigerians, let's fight for our rights before this country is totally left ruined beyond repair by those whose children and perhaps they themselves claim citizens of other better countries beside Nigeria and for that, can't be bothered about what is happening to helpless Nigerians. They have NO passion or whatsoever for us nor for the future of Nigeria. Nigeria is our home and no place like home. Let us arise and fight for the dignity of this blessed country and take it from all these greedy leaders who has done nothing good order than portray Nigerians as highly corrupted and criminals of all sorts. Baba might have tried so much during his regime, perhaps his efforts were not enough and/or due to lack of good course continuity. For instance, he had plan to restore electricity, I remembered seeing contractors digging the ground for underground electric cables but after he left, no continuity of the good course leaving all efforts and money unaccounted for. Also, he introduced EFCC and ICPC to fight against corruption, which were very good move to the check the leaders. Both agencies started well but at some point, from the top, the TRUTH couldn't be tolerated any longer and the good purposes were defeated. As such, the like of IYABO Obasanjo and Fmr Gov of Rivers State: PETER Odili and other top corrupted  looters were left to cart away with billions of NIGERIA treasury without being persecuted. The youths are the pillar of a nation and once the pillar is faulty, one can't imagine what would happen to the nation. Eedris spoke the VOICE of the youths with the jagajaga song nothing more. He neither directed it to any individual nor to any tribe, the song should have probably being used as yardstick to measure Nigeria's progress and development since the year the song was released. Nigerian youths are crying for liberty from corruption, greed and all sorts of crimes by the so called leaders and elders. We want leaders who have firstly LOVE for human existence and this nation. Then also vision and passion and who believe in the empowerment of the youths who are the future leaders and the Nigeria citizens as a whole. Also, there must be good course or plans policy continuity, not the ones that can be changed easily by greedy fellows to suit their greed.
