Nollywood diva and screen goddess, Genevieve Nnaji and Nollywood promising actor, Joseph Benjamin have been pencilled down to colour the UK premiere of Mahmood Ali-Balogun's 'Tango With Me'. On Thursday, August 16, 2012, Genevieve and Joe will lead other stars to Odeon Cinema, London for the movie premiere. From 6:30pm, Genevieve would adore the red carpet before the main premiere starts by 8pm. 'Tango With Me' has won many awards itself and also for some of the casts and crew members. It is one of the most successful Nigeria films at the cinemas in Nigeria.

I think Nollywood fans like having a face they can Identify with, like a star from previous movies because they like their acting or looks, needless to say, it may sell, but only if it is marketed well .I remember a movie vendor recommended a film for me, but I passed because there were no familiar faces. Later, I read reviews on the net, that the movie was really good. these producers HAVE to get these familiar faces so that people can buy their movies because the movies themselves are garbage (poor script, poor acting, poor lighting, poor audio, poor editing) so a movie that normally wouldnt get any buzz on merit, suddenly gets a lot of buzz simply because a familiar face is in it. As in Case of Tango with me, A lot of people watched it in Nigeria because of Genevieve. Today you'll get a great unknown actor for peanuts in 9ja if you search right and have the right casting call!

Personally, If I don't see a popular face on the cover of a Nollywood movie, there's a 90% chance I ain't gonna watch it. Opray. W and others must have watched or seen a clip of our movies before inviting Genny for interview.
