Ndubusi Okoh

The movie industry in Nigeria known as Nollywood has again been thrown into mourning barely three days after the death of an actor, Gogo Ombo.

This time, Nollywood Director, who has done most of his work with Amaco Production, Ndubusi Okoh has lost his battle to death.

The top movie director died on yesterday, Tuesday, July 24 in Abia State. Nigeriafilms.com gathered that Ndubusi died of Diabetes. We also learnt that though, he has been sick for some time ago, but he was getting better.

This is the second recorded death within two weeks after Pastor Wole Oladiyun of Christ Livingspring Apostolic Church (CLAM) held special prayer session against sudden death in showbiz industry in Nigeria. The prayer service was well attended by Nigerian entertainers. It was held on Thursday, July 12, 2012.

I am suspecting that pastor's prayer. ah ah, how can there be a prayer session to pray against sudden death yet people are die dying. hah! all those who attended i beg una go purify unaselves for real pastor. u can still pray on ur own and denounce untimely dead in your lives in Jesus name!

sure that pastor only wanted to raise funds in his church cos i can imagine how much that church raised for that special service.

Ah, Wozza You never cease to disappoint.Negotiating with Qantas was decisrbed by the pilots' rep as like wrestling an elephant which only tries to squash you. Yet now, miraculously, you are sure that the parties were close to agreement (so you say) yet management still decided to shut down the business, just because they were offended by something that the union reps wanted to discuss, something that was only raised because there is too much latitude allowed in the Fair Work Act. Qantas's management team don't give me the impression that they are easily offended like that quite the converse. They shut down the airline because they wanted to shut it down and planned to shut it down. Nothing more or less. It was a dirty negotiating trick trotted out by old hands from Freehills, Rio Tinto, Patricks on the wharves and more. Bullies, the lot of them. This whole exercise has arisen from management's intention to substite thuggery in lieu of actually y'know talking to their workers and their representatives about things. Yes, representatives. It's nice to have a bit of experience and legal knowledge around when things get a bit unhappy, the kind of support that Qantas management obtained from Freehills and a bunch of QC's and SC's. You do understand that it's only fair for employees to be represented in negotiations of this sort, don't you? Or, would you rather that they stand naked and wet and shivering in front of a fan with a gun to their heads whilst discussing their employment contract? One at a time? Picked off like fruit on a tree? I rather prefer that the words fair and reasonable apply to both sides of this dispute. Clearly, the Qantas management team doesn't understand or welcome such a namby-pamby approach to real work, which is the first and foremost the work of subduing and subjugating the employees and thus enhancing the corporate bottom line, in an environment of fear and uncertainty.Funny, that wasn't how managing people was portrayed when I did my management master's. The book they are operating from must be a hoot. This lot are throwbacks from the horse and buggy days, probably still unhappy that horsewhipping the staff is no longer acceptable practice.Read Section 7 of the Qantas Sale Act and don't come back till you are able to explain why it is contrary to the Act for Qantas to change names, head off overseas, or become a foreign entity.
