Sultry Actress, Bimbo Akintola Discovers Love In 'Hoodrush'

Star actress, Bimbo Akintola, who got her movie breakthrough in the blockbusting movie, 'Owo Blow' some years ago, has proven a point that she is still relevant in playing the emotional roles she is well known for.
This is because in the new film, 'Hoodrush', Bimbo gave her best and also made a statement that she is still in vogue. The sterling performance of this University of Ibadan Theatre Arts graduate in 'Hoodrush' was priceless.
Also starred in the movie are Gabriel Afolayan, UC Ukeje Chelsea Eze, Ijeoma Agu, Lilian Byoma and others.
'Hoodrush' is a musical flick that tells the story of two brothers closely bonded by their love for music; but deeply separated by their means for success.
Shez(O.C Ukeje) and Tavier(Gabriel Afolayan) are two of a kind pursuing a Herculean dream of becoming music stars.
Being at the bottom of the societal grid, ghetto life’s ugly fabric begins to wear on them and their eventual vulnerability puts them at the mercy of the high and mighty.
'Hoodrush' will be in cinema from Friday, October 12, 2012.

She's either playing the part of a NaughtyWoman, a spoilt brat or a love role. If in doubt, go and see the mourning after and compare it to her role in 'Out of bounds' - then come back and do your comparison. You will be left GOBSMACKED!

The only advantage I feel Genevieve has over her is not having extra flesh on her body. Apart from that, Bimbo is beautiful, seductive and a very good actress. Have you really makeout time to watch Genevieve when she is acting, she always have this detatched look on her ("let me get over with") kind of look. It is so unreal But with Bimbo, it is always so natural

i hear that Genny was the highest paid actress in 9JA. and i think its for her looks and promiscuity. plus she can get down pretty sassy on screen. But in person she is not all that. i have seen her in action twice in nigeria while on the set, where her and Desmond Elliot were a couple. and once on an "economy class" flight coming from Amsterdam with her manager, She was wearing a fake afro, and a short top that showed her full stomach which (at the time) was out of shape and had sooo many stretch marks. is that the best she can afford? Bimbo is not that hot, but shes got the acting skills down for sure. Plus she is classy in interview, not arrogant.
