Are dese MAULAG student daft or what. There is no mature one amongst dem,it's just a name. This protest is doing nathing accept GEJ is confuse as UNILAG has been a brand for 50years but respect the dead. The protest will do nothing as it will backfire on this students, stoping lectures and all beside Do they think GEJ will go back on his words. That will make him luk weak in front of his fellow politicians and all na.These student it's not as if dey want the name changed back to UNILAG for better academics or what dey just felt it's razz and would spoil dose runs girl paroles mtcheeew.

They never disrespected d VC, they love their VC so much, they only went to d funeral in Multitude to pay their last respect, they didn't go there to disturb or distract d funeral service. They're not touts, they're learned students... So watch it.
Rest in peace

They should have respected their late VC. If he were to be alive, He would have resisted the change as well. May his soul rest in peace.

Watch it lady and please do u know d history of this country, abiola never fought for education babe,he fought for politics,so why name a skool after him..there are other ways to immortalise a dead soul,to we masses we agree abiola is a hero but let GOODLUCK JONATHAN build a monument centre for him,at least abiola has mapoly,he has abiola way,he has a stadium all named after him, what else..not to change a school like unilag that has stood for 50yrs,a school that is older than the president himself..let the right things be done..so close your dirty f*****g mouth and watch..its Nigerians like u that gets pushed behind
Y?????????

This so called MAULAG, why are they against the name given to the school. Will they remain at the school forever or is it the first university to be rename?.After all, Ile-Ife was change to Obafemi Awolowo,, Anambra university was change to Nnamdi Azikiwe.Gosh! I thought they love late MAU why all this while other student riots for good standard of education, and reduction in school fees to be able to further and aim good grades. They ar busy fighting ...of name.Lazy students.GEJ will not go back !never!!

i think this renaming has something to do with gaining the favour of the south west. Since jonathan became president, he has always taken decisions that the people didn't support. First subsidy which by d way i havn't seen its advantage, then this name change, soon increase in electricity tariff. But why?
