This year's edition of Children 's Day will forever indelible in the memory of the residents of Ikotun, Egbe, Agodo, Ejigbo, Idimu and its environs. This is because UN Ambassador, Chika Ike, an actress, who is also fond of children, hosted over 3000 kids. The children were hosted irrespective of their of backgrounds, cultures and religions to a lavish party in commemoration to Children's Day celebration, which is yearly observed worldwide on May 27th. The Party was themed "EDUCATE A CHILD". Chika gave out over 3000 customised CIF (Chika Ike Foundation) school bags containing mathematical set, notebooks, T-shirts, lunch boxes and snacks . The Light Chapel Church playing ground, venue of the event, was filled to the brim of different sizes, shapes and colour kids including their mothers, fathers and guardians also besieged the venue to have opportunity to see the Nollywood beautiful damsel for the first time. The day no doubt was fun galore as DJ dolled out nice tunes with other side attractions on ground to thrill the kids. Speaking at the event, Chika said she is just passionate about kids and will continue to do more for them as God enlarges her. She however promised the event will be an annual social gathering for the street children. The Oba Agodo of Agodo land also expressed his satisfaction over Chika Ike's initiative in given back to her people in the area. The likable king however revealed the social gathering will be the first of its kind in the history of Agodo land. After dancing with the kids, Chika shared gifts, which she termed 'back to school' to the children. And it would recall that just few days ago, Chika visited some special home in Lagos to show her heart felt love to some special children.
